Johnson cites Dahlstrom as the only Republican who can win this crucial battleground seat
Anchorage, AK – Nancy Dahlstrom, Lt. Governor for the state of Alaska, announced today that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has endorsed her campaign for U.S. Congress.
“Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom is a principled conservative who is the only candidate who has what it takes to win this critical seat for Republicans and our House majority. Her record of fighting for Alaska is unmatched – from reducing crime to unleashing American energy. I’m proud to offer her my support and excited to campaign with her to flip this seat and grow our strong conservative majority in Congress,” stated Speaker Johnson.
Dahlstrom’s entrance into the race shifted the Inside Election ratings towards Republicans and she has already been included in national fundraising efforts by the Speaker.
“I am honored to have the backing of Speaker Johnson. This race is crucial for the future of Alaska, and I will not back down from this fight. Alaska needs leadership in D.C. that will stand up to an overreaching government and stand strong for the values that define our state,” said Lt. Governor Dahlstrom.
Nancy Dahlstrom currently serves as the Lt. Governor for the state of Alaska. The Dunleavy-Dahlstrom ticket was reelected in 2022 on the first ballot with over 50% of the vote. Nancy was first appointed to serve as a State Representative in 2003 and then served as a Senior Advisor for Military Affairs. In 2018, Nancy took on the role to serve as the Commissioner of Corrections and was a leader in cracking down on crime and ensuring criminals serve their time. As Lieutenant Governor, Nancy has prioritized public safety, energy security, and emergency preparedness.
