ANCHORAGE, AK – This weekend, Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom visited the southern border in Yuma, Arizona to assess the damage done by Joe Biden’s border crisis.
While Democrats like Joe Biden and Mary Peltola flounder the compounding problem of our open southern border, Lt. Governor Dahlstrom took action to learn about the ground situation and meet with our men and women on the front lines keeping our nation safe. Lt. Governor Dahlstrom learned about the dangers of rampant illegal immigration to our food supply, the 85,000 children unaccounted for after they crossed over alone, and the deadly stream of fentanyl crossing over the Yuma sector alone.
“Shocked and appalled are just two of countless ways I can describe my feelings about our open border. These aren’t weary travelers either, as the bleeding-hearts may have you believe. These illegals are flying close to our border and are being dropped off with smartphones and other luxuries,” Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom said in a statement. “Make no mistake: these are adults looking to take advantage of our broken border and immigration systems, and are willing to use murderous cartels to accomplish it. These illegals aren’t looking for a better life, they’re looking for a handout.
“While our Border Patrol agents are handcuffed by the backward policies of Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas, tens of thousands of migrant children are unaccounted for. That humanitarian crisis in and of itself comes in tandem with the national security risks that come with the mass amounts of gotaways,” Lt. Governor Dahlstrom continued. “That’s not to mention the flood of fentanyl coming into our communities and the sheer food security issues that arise with farmers being forced to destroy their crops due to human waste contamination. The same farmers that have to sleep armed because of the intruders into their lands and homes.”
“As your Congresswoman, I will work to ensure that our border is closed and secure. We cannot wait for Democrats like Mary Peltola to take action when we know they won’t. It’s time for a change in leadership,” she added.
