ANCHORAGE, AK – Once again, Mary “Present” Peltola failed to stand up for Alaskans and help pass the “Alaska’s Right to Produce Act.” In fact, she ENCOURAGED her Democrat colleagues to vote “no” on the legislation. Now Peltola’s back playing political games instead of representing the Alaskans who sent her to Washington to be their voice.
For the record, Peltola voted for “Alaska’s Right to Produce Act” during committee, then she encouraged her Democrat colleagues to vote “No on Alaska”, then she voted “present,” and then, she skipped a House Resources Committee budget hearing where she failed to stand up for Alaskans during testimony from Interior Secretary Deb Haaland.

In response to Peltola’s “present” vote, Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom stated:
“Mary Peltola has put Alaska on the back burner one too many times. Alaskans deserve representation in Washington that will stand up to Joe Biden and fight for our state, and we have a chance to make that happen this November. We can no longer afford to send elected officials to Washington who will put Alaskan energy jobs last and I can assure you that this won’t be the last time Alaskans are reminded about Peltola’s betrayal of our state.”
