Today, Rep. Peltola addressed the Alaska State Legislature and Lt. Governor and candidate for the at-large congressional seat Nancy Dahlstrom released the following statement:
“What I heard from Congresswoman Peltola today was not enough. Her actions speak so much louder than her words, and they are not in Alaska’s best interest. She claims she wants to support Alaska’s energy, but she has been silent when Biden cancels critical energy projects in our state. She claims she wants to be a bipartisan voice, but she votes consistently with radical Democrats.
Congresswoman Peltola talked significantly about the giants of Alaska’s past and her attempt to live up to them. We need someone who doesn’t shrink into those shadows, but rather steps into those shoes with confidence and actually carries on their legacy. I have never backed down from a fight and I will not succumb to political pressures – my words come with action and a record. We need new leadership fighting for us in D.C., and I am ready to take-on that role.”
Dahlstrom is running against Mary Peltola who has endorsed Joe Biden and works hand-in-hand with his administration. Republican Nancy Dahlstrom currently serves as the Lt. Governor for the state of Alaska. As Lieutenant Governor, Nancy has prioritized public safety, energy security, and emergency preparedness.
